Driving Miss Daisy Uniondale Theatre reviews
Hurt So Bad!
Why would Driving Miss Daisy change "Small Town"? Seriously, why slow it down and twang it up, trying to turn it into a folk song? It was perfect just the way it was! Butchered it, you did.
OMG!! Cherry Bomb, a single verse, acapella...
A disgrace to the fans, Jack and Diane was slowed down, twangy and folksy almost to the point you couldn't recognize the song.
UGH!! Hurt so Good, didn't play it.
Didn't like it, Rain on the Scarecrow, an updated faster folksy/rock version.
Didn't play it, Lonely Ole Night.
Properly done, Pink Houses and ROCK in the USA were the last two songs of the night but by that time I was so disappointed I wanted nothing more than to beat the crowd out of the theatre!
How do you change or omit all the classic songs that the fans love so much, I understand that his style has changed over the years?
Quit smoking already, Driving Miss Daisy. How many lung cookies did you cough up on stage? I counted four.
This was my first time seeing Driving Miss Daisy and we were both so excited to be downtown Chicago the day after Thanksgiving. Unfortunately we were quickly disappointed. Aside from not liking most of his newer stuff, it's too folksy and twangy, he destroyed his classics.
